We live in an age of information overload. Every day a new tutorial comes out on YouTube, but yet, you feel lost. Everyone is looking for quick tips and fast fixes to become better at playing the guitar.
The old tradition of proper good old fashion learning with an excellent teacher seems to disappear as more and more people are pursuing self-learn approaches via the internet. Whilst this may seem like an intelligent and cost-effective way of approaching to issue of learning to play the guitar, it is in fact the exact opposite.

It is not for everyone. It does require a willingness and determination to make your guitar playing grow. This means you will need to dedicate time to practice and make time to improve. If you choose to do so, then the world of guitar is your oyster and there is no limit to what you can achieve!
